Sheryl Tuck - RMP Evaluator and Consultant
Sheryl joined the FSQSNZ Team in September 2022 and hit the ground running assisting some of our long-standing clients with quality and regulatory support. Sheryl is also a recognised RMP evaluator for non-dairy RMPs and holds the required competencies to evaluate RMPs with canning (retort) in the scope of operations. Sheryl has spent over 40 years working within the dairy and meat industries including a long stretch with MPI and NZ Food Safety in a number of roles in which she was highly regarded and there isn’t too much Sheryl hasn’t come across in her time.
Steve Barber - Quality Specialist
Steve joined FSQSNZ in August 2021, providing Quality support functions to some of our longest standing clients. Steve has a varied background from Aviation Compliance to Operations Management Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Roles within the Food Industry. Steve is a pillar in the business with a real can-do attitude and he provides support across a range of different industries with his keen eye and passion for Quality Improvement.
Jason Cust - RMP Specialist
Jason has joined FSQS in July 2024 with significant experience within NZ and overseas manufacturing. Jason was originally a Chef by Trade and has a BSc in Microbiology, Plant and Zoology. Jason started his manufacturing experience as a microbiological technician in a commercial laboratory. Moving to onsite laboratory management and ultimately quality management for a multi RMP manufacturing facility.
Jason began RMP verification and evaluation work in 2006 and later expanded into ISO verification along with other supplier programmes. This work led him to international work in Saudi Arabia and traveling the world reviewing manufacturing suppliers to support the world leading manufacturing facilities of Almarai. Jason returned to be a RMP verifier and evaluator within New Zealand and has previously held the role of Technical Manager for a previous recognised agency. Jason has been an MPI approved verifier and evaluator for Animal Products and verifier of Food Act risk-based measures. Jason has completed a post graduate course in quality and statistical methods to support quality management and continuous improvement systems.
Deenesh Jeram - Engineering Contractor
Deenesh has been an MPI recognised Premises and Heat Treatment Evaluator in the Dairy and Food Industry for over 35 years. Deenesh has over 15 years’ experience in conducting Heat Treatment courses throughout the Dairy and Food Industry. Deenesh joined the FSQSNZ Auditing team in December 2022 as a contractor through his newly formed company, Dairy & Food Engineering Compliance Ltd. Dairy & Food Engineering Compliance Ltd. have also enlisted the services of Svein Johannessen who has worked with Deenesh for over 20 years.
Kevin Wu - Quality Engineer
Kevin joined FSQSNZ in December 2022 as a contractor. Kevin has 15 years of experience in the Dairy Industry. This included QA and Validation roles specifically in the Pharmaceutical and Infant Formula fields. Kevin is also a founding director of Dairy & Food Engineering Compliance Ltd. with Deenesh. Kevin is fluent in both English and Mandarin and provides non-regulatory engineering services (including validation and consultation) and supports Deenesh in regulatory work.
